Solvent oil/Solvent Naphtha (closed-cup flash point ≤ 60°C) is typically a colorless or pale yellow transparent liquid at room temperature, with a distinctive odor. It is insoluble in water but miscible with most organic solvents, and its core characteristics are high flammability and strong volatility. As a light hydrocarbon mixture obtained from petroleum distillation, its chemical properties are relatively stable, primarily manifested in its combustibility—exposure to open flames or high heat in air can easily lead to combustion or explosion. Owing to its excellent solvency and rapid drying properties, its primary application is as an industrial solvent and diluent. It is widely used in coatings, inks, adhesives, pesticides, the rubber industry, and metal parts cleaning, among other fields. As it is classified as a hazardous chemical (flammable liquid, category 3), strict fire and explosion prevention measures must be enforced during storage and use, and adequate ventilation must be ensured.
