Pigment Red 122 (PR122) is a bright bluish-red powder at room temperature. It exhibits stable chemical properties, along with excellent lightfastness (up to Grade 7-8), heat resistance (up to 280-300°C), and migration resistance. Based on these high-performance characteristics, its primary application is as a high-grade colorant. It is widely used in automotive coatings (particularly exterior coatings, often combined with molybdate orange), mass coloration of plastics (such as PS, ABS, polypropylene), and high-quality inks, among other fields.
