Its primary use is as a key monomer for synthesizing functional polymers, particularly for producing cationic polymers such as polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride, which exhibit hydrophilicity and reactivity. It is widely used as a water treatment flocculant, papermaking auxiliary, textile dyeing auxiliary, and conditioning agent in personal care products. Additionally, it serves as an organic synthesis intermediate and an epoxy resin curing modifier.
